I have a Tippmann 98 Custom and I bought It about 9 years ago. Just recently did it not work properly. When i screw in the tank every thing is fine. But when i fire it the gun will stutter just like it would when someone is low or out of air. When it stutters it will stop and the bolt will stay behind just like shooting with out any air. So basicly it acts like the tank applied is really low on air. The gun has an expansion chamber and collapsible stock and the black plastic power tube covering is new( it has a side tube that protrudes out the right side going down, i'm guessing that it's for the cyclone feed kit for the 98 Custom). Other than the previous stated the gun is stock. Please any help in welcome. Thank You. P.S. I was thinking about buying the Cyclone Kit and was wondering if the kit included a new valve body? Thank You again

strip the gun and check all the possible o rings, it could be that you have a old hard o ring in there somewhere that just passes the air under pressure but adequately seals the chamber when not firing.

Not to be obvious, but is your tank full? Regarding the Cyclone, Believe it will come with a new powertube. It used to anyways...

Yes I forgot to say the tank is full. My bad. By power tube do you mean just the black plastic tube or a new valve that goes inside the tube as well?
