I formatted my computer in the middle of December because I had some spyware (that's what I get for downloading PowerISO).  So I reinstalled all my stuff, etc etc, and downloaded iTunes version 9.0.2.25 (only one I could find).  Ever since switching from the older version of itunes that I had from 2008ish the iTunes has been lagging, really badly.  I click on a song to play and it will start playing in 10-15 seconds.  When I try to scroll through my songs it also lags with the same 10-20 second delay before it will start to move.  This happens even when I have nothing else running, and none of my other programs lag like this so as far as I can tell isn't virus/spyware that causing the problem (it lagged like this the 1st time I ran the program after I just finished formatting my computer).

Is this common to this version of itunes?  I can't find a way to fix it either.  I feel that 2 gigs of RAM should be more than enough to run itunes.

I found your problem. It seems like no matter what Windows PC I've ever tried itunes on, it runs like the bloated piece of crap software.

my itunes starts lagging really bad sometimes and when i bring up the task manager wmprvse.exe (or something like that) is taking up all my cpu. I kill it, even though it warns me not to and everything runs beautifully.

I use CopyTrans.  Bypass Itunes that doesn't work on my PC anyway.  I can use my Ipods again now.
