Subject: Phenom cyclone not working

I am very new to the whole paintball thing and wanted a marker. I purchased a Phenom about 2 weeks ago and my friend yesterday came over with some paintballs to test it out. The gun is currently running on CO2 with a remote line. The gun will fire about 6 shots (doesnt matter if on auto or single fire) and then the cyclone will not advance anymore balls.  The cyclone propeller twitches but refuses to move. When you click the manual feed it can do a complete revolution. When I use the manual feed it will fire a ball no problem. I have also used this gun inside without the use of balls to see if it was temperature related and the cyclone does the same thing.  Help is needed.

Standard answer when using a remote line, is did you try using the marker with the tank directly on the marker.

I did try to hook it directly with a different CO2 tank as well. No dice

I remember someone mentioning the direction of the fitting on the right hand side. Make sure there are no kinks in the line. If it's turned a certain way, the line can kink and disrupt airflow. Also, have you choronoed the marker? Is it hitting the right FPS? Make sure the screw that holds the paddles on the cyclone isn't too tight as well.

I did loosen the screw a little but and it didnt help. I have yet to choron the gun. I was thinking about buying a HPA tank because Tippman stated that the cyclone might be freezeing. Thanks for the help

While HPA is a good idea, the cyclone should not be freezing after only a few shots.

I spoke to another tippman tech a few minutes ago he stated the screws on the bottom of the cyclone might be too tight as well so i am going to try that. Hopefully it works or I am going to send it off to tippmann for them to look at it.

The hose leading from the marker to the aluminum cylinder on the cyclone may be kinked. Grab the cylinder and rotate it out. Do a search, evil elvis has pictures if you are confused.

I did check to make sure my hose was not kinked. I ended up sending my phenom in for repair. Ill let you know what it was.

If quelqu one can m help to solve this problem I thank it D advances if not I L will send in guarantee

Babbelfish fails. Take it back to the store you bought it at before you send it in to Tippmann. They can usually help, unless its a big chain store.

J ai vu mon revendeur et le probleme est simple le x7 phenom marche a l air comprimé et pas au co2 hormis l été ou lors de températures vraiment douces.Il faut savoir que l utilisation du co2 endommage les joints

Try your velocity adjustment,if set too low clyclone feed will not have enough air preasure to advance .

THANK YOU IT WORKED!!!!!

if you shoot with the air on your gun it seems that the velocity is say 280 with bottle on the gun and 240 with remote coil on so my velocity was so low. I set it up and my cyclone works now BUT our close games is crono at 240 so if it does not work at 240 then I don’t know

Will let you ouks know soon.

Hi Black H
Flex valves freeze very easily when using co2.
I have found by using  a remote coil it has eliminated freeze ups ,also by not going full auto for more than a few quick burst it has helped the marker from freezing up.

I beleive its Co2 freez. Mine does the same thing. HPA no problem at all.

No used a remote and single fire.

Even set the velocity lower!

The e trigger gave in and my valve was swapped out as well

Now they gave me a whole new gun and its awesome no freezing no problem

I must have had a dud or something it was the trigger that died and then valve and then cyclone, none of our teams phenoms did it just mine but as we know tippmann all was sorted out with no money from my side and now i have a serial 7835 (old one was 235) with no problems awesome gun love it to bits!!!!!

I might be off but the newer phenom my 7835 serials t-trigger sounds stronger and my mag fits much better as well as my stock? Maybe stuff did change... allot
