I own two J&J's and a LAPCO(both 14"). The LAPCO seems to be the most accurate, even my buddy's 8" LAPCO seems more accurate than the J&J's. I only went with the 14" Bigshot because it was all the store had, a 12" would be fine, an 8" would also be fine for accuracy. It all comes down to cosmetics and playing style. If you plan on pressing yourself into into bunkers or poking your barrel through brush, or doing a mil-sim mod that requires a longer barrel, go with the 14". Just use good quality medium-bore paint and find a brand that works well for you, and keep it free of oil. Hot water and dish detergent followed by a pull through squeegee/swab will get any oil out of it it ships with, and do this after every day of play, especially when you break balls in it or use old, greasy paint. I always did the hot sopy water thing, followed by a swab with rubbing alcohol, then a dry swab after the alcohol evaporated. Do not oil your front bolt o-ring, and when you oil the ASA and shoot it through the gun to get the seals lubed, remove the barrel first then dry-fire. Oil it the barrel will lead to inconsistent friction in the barrel and poor accuracy. Find the sweet spot for velocity that works with your paint/barrel combo. Usually somewhere between 270-300 fps, just stay within your field's limit (you should always cron lower than 300fps since velocities can spike and re-crono throughout the day, or when you refill/change tanks. Have fun out there, stay safe, and paint some fools.

The bigshot seems to be the most popular model and works well with a wide variety of medium-bore paint. It's a good buy.
