Its not really a HS relationship because she goes to a different school than me, lives like 20 miles away, and I see her on the weekends. Thank God for texting! |

The worst part about this is everything everyone is saying is most likely true. I remember my first. I thought it'd work out. I thought there would be a happily-ever-after ending. Nope. Looking back, I can actually individually pick and point out the stupid, clingy mistakes I made. And yes, you probably will compare every other girl to her for a very long time. And as a point of serious advice-your first breakup isn't ALWAYS bad. I didn't get into a really bad breakup until my fiancee...just bear in mind, the first almost always fails. And just like my MUBAR (got a strike for using the other term for some reason, even though I've used it a million times on here...lol) engagement, you'll learn every bad relationship teaches you good lessons for the good ones.
And a good rule-if she puts out in the first couple of weeks, don't get attached. -------------

Spoken like someone who has either never had a serious long term relationship or is a rotten friend. I got into some serious crap with a couple of friends of mine back when I started dating my wife. She lived 2 hours away from me, and when we started getting serious enough to consider getting married, I was either visiting her or she was visiting me on a regular basis. Some of the idiots I hung around with before that were pissing and moaning that I was never there, never around to hang out, whatever. So, I started taking the woman to hang out with these people, and they made it awkward by being awful to her because of the times when I had opted to spent time with her rather than them. I don't talk to them anymore. That being said, the people who were friends worth keeping weren't losers enough to not know what time is required of a real relationship, let things run their course, and not only am I still great friends with them, but so is my wife. change in the dynamics of friendships is part of growing up. ------------- ? |

Awhile ago I was hanging out at a buddys at school and his friend (We shall call him Justin) came up to visit on the same weekend, with his wife (Ashley) as well since my buddy and his gf are friends with both of them. They're both 21/22, same age range as my friend and I. Buddy: This is Justin (Ashley walks by to next room) and thats his wife Ashley Me: Oh, that sucks. Needless to say she didn't care for me. It wasn't a knock against them or their marriage, she was hot enough to hold onto but getting married that young, eff that. |
