They always win. And the cops will NEVER be on your side.
Copying story to first post for easy finding:
Well what happened was, i was asked to leave the bar for reasons unknown to me, which i did because i didnt want any problems. As i was walking to the parking lot i may have been running my mouth a bit about being asked to leave, but i was leaving and not initiating any physical contact. This one bouncer followed me and was pushing me, i hadnt driven so i was going to walk to my friends apartment. He pushed me off the curb into the parking lot.
Bouncer keeps pushing me and i was asking him why, even though im clearly just walking away, hes still following me. A friend of the bouncer (big, black, beard) picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, i fell from about 5 feet straight onto my neck and back on concrete. Rolled around before being able to get up and called the cops, because that was some serious BS.
Cops talk to me, talk to the bouncer, "watched the security video" which shows me "leaving the bar peacefully and then calling the cops." I asked to see the video and was told no. Cop made fun of my story by saying that a random "kimbo slice lookalike" just picked me up and threw me for no reason. Then they accused me of making this whole thing up. They released me to my friend instead of arresting me, im not sure what i would have been arrested for.
Now my neck and back are seriously screwed up, but hopefully it resolves itself. They asked me if i wanted an ambulance ride and i said no because i didnt want to have to pay for it, and if my back was really messed up i would get myself to the hospital. So i might be taking a trip to see whats wrong, if its more than just some bad bruising.
I think it was just a case of a bouncer being a hot head and picking someone to mess with, and i got the lucky number.

So you're the one who had to be told to turn off the engine before changing the fan belt.

I used to train with the guys who were bouncers at the clubs I went to.
No. Don't. They get paid to "sort people out".

Cousin is a bouncer, only occasionally these days though.
I would not pick a fight with him, for sure.
Story time?

Its kind of funny to me that he just picks you up and throws you.
What are you going to do if there are medical bills? I'm assuming that since the police did nothing, it wouldn't hold up in court for any kind of law suit, if you took that direction.

My buddy is a former bouncer-he's like 6'7" 260 pounds of solid muscle. Not sure he's ever been in a fight, but really he doesn't have to, lol.

Dude if i saw it happen and it wasnt me, i would have laughed at my ass for getting picked up and dropped.
My back isnt too terrible, i think its just bruised, im expecting some pain killers over the next few days and well see what happens after that. Really moving around isnt bad, just getting up from sitting/laying and bending over i gotta take it kinda slow.

You've got the money, hire a lawyer, sue their asses in civil court, subpoena the security tape and make sure you have a trial by jury.
Step 2: Profit
Sue the bar, sue the bouncers.

A bouncer told me and a girl tonight that we'd either have to cool it down or leave.
I think that was a compliment.

Ive only seen bouncers (all of them) lose once. But I guess thats what happens when the first bouncer to get knocked out had the main walkie talkie to contact other bouncers at the bars in the area. It IS funny seeing a bar with half the bouncers having black eyes the following weekend. They dont always win, especially with 10+ guys on either side wanting to fight each other and them in the middle.

If what you say is true, I would sue just for the principle.

I dont want to get involved in a lawsuit, i actually know a lot of the people that work at the bar and most of them say that bouncer is a hot head. It wasnt him that threw me though, it was another kid, who doesnt work there.
Plus, im only at school till may, then im out of here for good. If this drags on into something long and drawn out, i dont want to have to deal with it from work in another state. And i dont want something stupid like this following me around.
Im gonna stop in at the health center tomorrow and see what they say. My back feels a bit better today, i dont think its bone problems i think its just some heavy muscle bruising in my lower back, but hopefully they can tell me better.
