It's definitely worth it. I spent close to $800 Canadian on the Tippmann X7 Phenom today (plus a few other things) and enjoyed it. It was an impulse buy [huge sale] and I don't regret it one bit. This is coming from a guy who spent $2000+ on a Milsig marker just last month,

If you do decide to purchase it, I highly recommend getting yourself a good barrel (unless you already have one). You won't regret the purchase.

Just a quick question for anyone with an answer. Could you put a spare battery in the mag of the Phenom? I kept trying to put it in but it won't fit, or am I just doing it all wrong?

snowzay,

The X7 Phenom only comes in a e-grip config.  The Full Auto mode can be programmed to one of the five different firing modes, the Semi mode is mechanical.  Definitely worth the $400 price tag, I paid $470 plus taxes CDN for mine.

The Phenom is the most advanced woodsball/scenario marker in the world. Considering that out the box all you need is an air source a mask and paint to play I believe it's the best deal in paintball.

Is this too much weapon for a newbie (e.g. too many settings, etc. ) or will it just be so fun to shoot that I won't even think twice about the price?

X-7 Phenom is my best Tippmann, I started out with an RPM, A-5 with Response, ION. Got rid of the ION, and RPM....moved right in on the Phenom...by far the best woods ball gun...I still have my A-5 as a back up, but haven't had to pull it out yet....

I did run into some bump disk problems, Tippmann sent me the new one in five days....so I am back to being the support by fire, for the team....I am tellin ya, when I shoot, the other team either turns around and goes the other way, or they all gang up on me....

Well worth the money...

Silver...

I love my phenom. Certainly worth the price they're asking for it.

For the one asking if its 'too much gun' - no. You can switch it to manual and not use the electronics at all if you're worried about going overboard with the electronic firing modes. In fact, you can pull the battery completely and still be able to use it- one of the features that makes the Phenom as awesome as it is. Versatile and seriously cutting edge, you can't beat the value.

This was the first gun I bought.  I'd say it's the best gun for a n00b.  Everything about it is idiot proof.  The first time I saw someone else take another gun apart, I was like what the hell's all that stuff. Tongue

Yes, it is worth money. I have already faced the same problem. So I hate it.
It is very bad........
