If you want to use a pistol, its great. But you have to want to use a pistol. Pistols are great as backups, despite what people tell you. Or you can go out with pistols only. ------------- http://www.anomationanodizing.com - My Site

Is the giant red text necessary? The TPX is a novelty. In theory, it's terrific. But in actual usage, it's severely lacking. It's great that the grip fits your hand nicely, and it's great that it's magazine-fed. It's also great that the mags are cheap. But you can only hold 7 balls in a magazine, because if you load all 8, it tends to jam and chop. If you chop, as you most likely will, you have to tear it all down (which is not easy at all, especially the mags) to clean it. It also sucks that you cannot change the CO2 when you'd like. My TPX doesn't even like shooting the 12g empty. Tippmann is supposed to be coming out with different mags soon, such as an extended mag (I'm praying for 10 shot, single-stack), and a 7 shot single-stack mag. If you run it on remote, and when Tippmann releases the new mags, it may be better, but for now, I'm not impressed. | I really like mine (I use the remote link adapter) but it's very expensive for a pistol. The only thing I saw better than this at the field was a pistol that had both the CO2 and balls in the clip so when you changed out the clip, both were changed. |

Yeah it's kinda wasteful having to change the Co2 every 8 balls or so but he said you would change the Co2 every third time you added new balls to the clip so it wasn't such a big deal.
I do agree having a pistol at your disposal can come in useful, esp. in close quarters or urban/scenario settings. I love the remote and if I have some spare time I might try to design an active feed system or something like that. |

You can reload the Tiberius mags 3 times before you need to change out the 12g. I also carry 3 mags with me. That means i can reload 9 times before i even need to touch a 12g. ------------- http://www.anomationanodizing.com - My Site

Though still relatively new to paintball. I did pick up the Tiberius T8 for a sidearm (did this because my remote line was acting up on my Project Salvo). After doing some research I thought the Tiberius T8 would be a good choice.
That being said, it is a really good pistol. However, the one downside that I have is that the handle is very large due to the fact that both the paintballs and the CO2 cartridge is in the magazine.
This is obviously only a problem if you have small hands, which I am borderline on. I can grip the handle and pull the trigger reasonable well, it just doesn't feel like I have a good handle on the marker. ------------- Jayne: A trade Hell, This is the best damn gun made by man. I can do this with a TPX too. I also carry 12 mags and a dump pouch with me. Haven't put on the remotes yet.
The new 7shot mags rock and help a lot with the markers accuracy. Zero chops from over 200 shots. I was using 5 month old evil paint stored in a garage with loads of humidity and heat. in Houston Texas.. ------------- Cobra - Joker

If you mean you can fire 9 mags through a TPX off of a single 12 gram I am throwing the BS flag. Most of the people I know with them change the 12 gram after two mags because they don't have enough left for another mag. I am getting nearly four magazines off of my 12 grams but I am only loading 7 in the 8-round stock magazines and shooting at velocities in the mid 250s.* *Because if I'm using the pistol on the field, it's most likely going to be a close range situation. (Bunkering, CQB in buildings, panicked close defense, etc.) Edited question: Are you saying the straight feed 7 round magazines are out? If so, link please. -------------

| yeah, im way excited for this gun, but a few things that i REALLYYY hope they design are these: a high-cap tru-feed mags- like 20-30 or so rounds, a stock system hopefully like that of the HK MP7 but possibly they will slide the bottom of the stock over so as not to upset the users forearm, and then a holster to hold the gun if it it has a foregrip- at least a folding one, sorta turning this into a mp7, but that is an awesome design for a gun, that and it haveing a remote line would even make it a formidable primary |

DO NOT BUY it is a good gun, but the low capacity makes it useless against a rifle.
i have one and find it dificult to rely on in combat, for a backup, another rifle on the back is helpful. held with a sling, and powered with a remote line to reduce weight on the sling. a BT omega is an escelent light marker for a seconcary on a sling.
Dont get me wrong, the tpx is a good gun, but it is expensive, at $210 versus $130 for a BT-Omega, and you need to reload every 8 rounds, feed mags every other since it only has 2, reload a 50cent cartrige every 20 shots, and the mags are expensive ------------- Tippman X-7 Tippman A-5 Tippman TPX Rap4 T68 Spyder Pilot Spyder Pro |
