we've been getting monsoon style rain here in rhode island nonstop. uri campus is closed due to this reason:

Yeah, it's pretty much flooding here in Boston as well.

Don't have a camera, so no pictures, but I really don't understand why this precipitation couldn't have been scheduled when it was cold enough to snow.

and if anyone was wondering that picture wasnt found off of google, that was taken a few hours ago lol the entire campus is on a rather steep slope and there is some small swampish land at the bottom, so 4+ inches of rain in two days has to go somewhere

Its nasty here in the capital region of NY, but not flooding yet, at least not where I've been stuck since 11.
Tons of rain with plenty more being called for.

In an interesting turn of events, rice farming may be why Asians are so good at math.

From Malcolm Gladwell, who I believe got it from someone else.  Really need to read the book he pulled it out of.

Also, if you can grow rice in your backyard, you're set for Z-day.

We have rain, stream is up but no flooding yet. Chill in the air, forcast not looking good, hope focasted weekend comes to pass, looking foward to upper 70's.

It kind of sucks here, but not as bad  as two years ago. Minimal flooding here, I may go canoeing.
