So apparently, if you are a womanizing scumbag with daddy issues all you have to do is go to sex rehab and it's all good. First TW and now JJ:

Apparently being horny with no self control is a disease now....

Can't remember the movie, but there's a line that goes something like: " I went to a sexual addiction therapy class, but sitting in a room with 50 people that all wanted to ..... me wasn't exactly productive".

We talked about this the other day, the whole sex addict thing is just stupid. You're not addicted, you just have no willpower to not do what you shouldn't.

I have what I would consider to be an addictive personality. I have always steered clear of experimenting with heavy drugs (cocaine, heroine, etc) because I always knew that if I started, I would most likely end up in a gutter somewhere choking on my own vomit. I see drug addiction as a real disease because I can see how someone can be come dependent on the effects of the drugs, I understand people that have issues such as low self esteem and try to improve their self image by sleeping with whoever looks sideways at them, but is this truly a disease or just a character flaw? When does the fact that you are a douchebag and can't keep it in your pants become a medical issue?

Character issue =/= medical issue
People have sex because they want to. If you can't suffer physical issues due to withdrawal, it's not an addiction. It's just making bad choices.

Not quite what I was trying to bring up, but I don't think it really matters if it's a real medical issue or not. Dude recognizes he has a problem and is doing what he thinks can help, and people are baggin' on him for it. For a culture of waning personal responsibility, you'd think he'd be praised for actually stepping up and trying to help himself.

Or he could just accept the fact that he's a douche and realize there is no cure for that. Why have we become a society that thinks there is a cure for everything? Why can't people just own up and say, "Hey! I'm a skirt chasing poon hound and I like it?". Why does there have to be a medical reason behind it? Hey Jesse and Tiger, just admit it, you're both d..ks.

Interesting you should think this, despite thinking the opposite for substance abuse.
