I heard the roar from Fenway last night on the way back to my dorm.  I think it was during the 7th inning, they must have gotten a couple runs in a row or something.

I'm not a baseball fan at all, but this town makes it a bit more exciting.

I like the idea of baseball. Opening day is the surest sign that spring is here, and summer is on it's way. I like how pumped people get for opening day, even with our awful team.

I like how announcer Greg Brown exclaims "Raise the Jolly Roger" the 60 or so times the Buccos win every season, and how they actually DO raise the Pirate flag outside PNC Park, so the town knows when they win, with just a glance to the North Shore.

I actually enjoy going to see the games at the ballpark, there's a lot of old time Americana going on with baseball.

But, as much as I like the idea of baseball, I just can't actually get into the sport so much. It's so slow! Especially on TV, it's kind of aggravating!

Baseball:  The only sport more boring than NASCAR.

What moves faster? A baseball game or the grass growing in the field?

I used to not like baseball, but then I started going to games, tailgating, and kinda paying attention to my home team.  i became a fan.  Now I watch games on tv.

I used to love to listen to games while cutting the grass. Then Joe died, and the games just didn't seem so fun.

Rounding third and heading for home...

Went to two games last summer and actually enjoyed myself. I'd hang myself if I had to sit through a televised game, but the live event is a good time. Out in the sun, hot dogs, beer, people, etc.

Hey . . . the Royals haven't lost a game so far this season!

Also, although I've said it before, attending minor league games > attending major league games.

I must say... Bush was much better at throwing out the first pitch...

Obama's pitch today was way out and to the left...

who would have thought...

I don't know how much you follow baseball, but with the National's current bullpen, Obama could probably land a closing spot.

Haha, ill always be an Indians fan (I live in a suburb of cleveland). They just seem to constantly dissapoint. Honestly, who hires a coach who was JUST fired from the worst team in baseball?

The older I get, the more irritated I find myself getting with baseball.

More specifically, baseball fans.

Even more specifically, though not exclusively......yankees fans.

yankees fans and redsox fans are the worst. they cant step back and criticlly examine thier team, they just sit there and brag about how great thier team is, even when they lose...jerk face's

The Red Sox and Yankee's are in the playoffs basically every single year(and they're in the same division). Your argument is invalid.

how about 2006 when my tigers bounced the yanks? and somehow they were still top dog. im not saying those teams are bad, all im saying is every team has a fault or two and the sox and yanks fans refuse to look at them, to those fans those teams are perfect in everyway. its just quite annoying

So I was at opening day.

We had standing room only tickets.

Needless to say my cousin got us kicked out in the seventh inning.

Good times.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

Needless to say? Like, this is routine behavior for your cousin? You sir, have just gotten yourself elected as the mayor of Storytime.

^Wow, that was a great move, both the flip from the pitcher, and the open handed catch from the first baseman. Good stuff.
