| I am think about getting a laser sight for my X7. What do you think? It is $30 and I would but it at wal mart and it's called Centerpoint Laser Dot sight if anyone has had any experience with it. Thanks for your opinion. |

Centerpoint does make some good stuff for BB guns, I don't know much about their lasers though. I have yet to be disappointed when buying from this brand. I have a scope, red dot, iron sight, mounts, and a gun bag from them. It does come with weaver/picatinny mounts even though it's not in the picture. Not really, they aren't usually bright enough to be useful in daylight, many organized fields don't allow them for safety issues and the arcing trajectory of paintballs means that the laser is only usually "sighted-in" at one specific range.

Like Mack said, it really isn't going to help you. A red dot sight though is a good investment in my opinion, especially if you have a nice and accurate barrel. http://www.hustlepaintball.com/Scopes-and-Optics-s/409.htm Don't get anything with any magnification though, it won't help because paintballs aren't accurate enough. If it's a red dot scope the first number should be a 1, i.e. 1x42, 1x30, etc. The second number is the size of the lens in mm. The bigger the lens, the more of the field you'll be able to see looking through it. |

I actually do find a good use for the laser sight. Using the laser you can very quickly determine your setup for ball spread. I would say at about 30 feet or so, after attaching the laser to the marker, point the marker with the laser on at a wall or board and then fire a round or two. if the round does not hit right on the red dot, then aim the laser so that they come close. Now the laser point and your gun is calibrated. As you move further away from the target you will get a better idea of how your marker, barrel, and balls all combine to give you a spread. Next, you make a mod, such as tweaking the air flow or a different barrel or different balls...whatever. You then fire at the red dot again from the same previous distance and you can easily compare. The nice thing about this technique is that it does not really rely on your own aiming accuracy. It is always relative to where the red dot of the laser is (this is always the bulls eye). |

| I decided to get the Tasco Red Dot Sight. I am very glad I did get it because once I sighted it in, it hits almost 90% of the time right on the dot. Thanks for the help, it was around $35 |
