Hey everyone,

I've been contemplating a lot about wether or not I should get a 98c PS or an A5. Now I know that the A5 is superior in a lot of different ways but there is something about the 98 that makes me think twice. I love the look and feel of both guns and by what i can tell you can upgrade both of them with practically the same upgrades. E-grip, cyclone feed, R trigger, etc. So that being said, I was wondering if I add a Cyclone feed to a 98c PS, would the ACT give the 98 the edge performance wise over the A5? At least in sense of feeding the paintballs with the least chance of chops? seeing as the A5 doesn't have ACT? or does the cyclone feed on the 98 negate the built in ACT? I've read that the internals on the 98c and A5 are very similar so i figured it came down to the ACT and was hoping someone could clarify. I would imaging that having the ACT and Cyclone feed on the 98 is better than just having only the Cyclone feed as on the A5. Sorry if this is a dumb question but its been bugging me and I can find an answer anywhere. Again I know that the A5 has tones  of more conveniences built into it but i was just trying to determine the difference performance wise. Thanks for any response.

Johnny

There is no need to have both a cyclone feed and ACT.  The design of the cyclone automatically times the feeding to the operation of the marker to prevent chopping.  ACT prevents chopping by allowing the bolt to disengage in case of a misfeed.  While they are not mutually exclusive having both is redundant.

cool. Just to make sure i understand. With a cyclone feed installed, the ACT will never be triggered to do its job? I know that the cyclone feed system virtually eliminates miss feeding but it does happen and chops rarely occur. But during those rare instances where you chop with the cyclone feed wouldn't the ACT help?
