Tried Fat Tire for the first time tonight.  It was ok.  My friends like to try new beers, but usually don't like them, so I get free 4 packs of stuff a lot.

quite the opposite my friend. a lot of brews with fruit in them are surprisingly old recipies. they were natural sweeteners and carbonators back in the day. its a sad fact that most north americans believe its a "sissy" thing to do. when in fact it enhances the experience. that and some brews were ment to be served at room tempature.

Yeah, and it used to be cool to own slaves.  Sometimes traditions are bad.

Nick, when you say "some brews were meant to be served at room temperature" do you mean American room temperature, or British room temperature?  Because there is a slight difference.

A "room temperature" guinness at a British pub is still actually kind of cool.  A "room temperature" brew here in the states is disgusting and warm, no matter who made it.

It appears I have spoken too soon.  I had a Blackberry Wit tonight that came in my sampler.  It was quite good.  But my previous statement is generally true.  This was good but there was only a hint of blackberry.  The Cherry Wheat is disgusting along with the Cranberry Lambic.

Eville, do they sell Purple Haze where you live? It's a raspberry beer brewed in Louisiana, I believe. Great stuff, they have it at the Flying Saucer in Fort Worth. You'l find the occaisonal six pack as well, but the Flying Saucer is a beer drinker's paradise.

i can no longer stand sweeter beers... shandy, beers with a fruit flavor mixed in, or even wheat beers any more.  My czech heritage and dad have instilled a new found appreciation for hoppier ales and pilsners.  In fact, I helped make a lighter belgian ale for my graduation party that, in my opinion, is perfect for summer drinking.

Wheats are good all year long. Even better in the summer.
