I have completed my latest 98 rifle. It may be my last for awhile as the weather is too nice to stay inside.

Im not a machinist and all the work was done with a dremel, hack saw, file, drill press, and lots of sandpaper so a project like this is in reach for many of you. Trigger is mechanically linked to the original. The vortex is removeable without taking the gun apart and can be converted back to stock if needed. Its very light and solid.

Check out my next post with some pics of my other builds. If you have any questions about the different steps, shoot me a pm.

They kinda scream " I want to be a KP3!"

Now I want to make some crazy 15 round tube fed, lever action, shaved down brass plated 98.

It's interesting to me that, when given something kind of technologically advanced thing, the question some will inevitably ask is "How can I make this fit into outdated framework?"

Looks pretty though. Just a funny thought of the human mind.

Sounds like one of my Kingman Hammer projects that didn't turn out quite right.*  I screwed up in both material selection for the lever and in locating the swivel for it.  Additionally, the rotating motion of the pump arms at the bolt kept unscrewing the screws that held the arms to the bolt.

*Translation: Dismal failure
