No just the Russians, Italians, the French...oh and the U.S., There are people still being killed by land mines dating back to the Second World War, not to mention Viet Nam, Cambodia, Afghanistan ( the Russians left alot over there and some disguised as toys). And it also won't work.
Mines only work when people don't know they are there. Otherwise you send in Sappers and get them to disarm them. Unless they are guarded all you need is time and a gardening trowel. (some information on landmines helps). Then you've got annoyed illegal immigrants, armed with explosives. KBK |

I say we make a big river along the border and maintain a healthy population of less-friendly creatures like alligators. We can help fix our illegal immigration problem and simultaneously help the environment. It's a win-win situation unless you're mexican.

What ever happened to the honor system, and prod on ones country? I miss the old days where people wanted to stay where they were born. Damned Mexican MTV with their "lets sneak into the USA" tv programs. As has been discussed, Mexico has nothing to gain by having their productive citizens escaping their country to go somewhere else. Also - that whole national pride thing works well when you're not in a country with poverty, starvation and a massive drug problem. |
