So I worked medical at the Electric Daisy, which is a huge rave--
Anyhow, long story short. Had a guy found passed out on the floor, not responsive to anything I did. He was the 5th OD of the night so far so we grabbed him and brought him to the ambulance, and quickly got to the hospital. Pretty much right after we put him on the hospital bed he crashed, and went in to cardiac arrest. We were able to get him back pretty quickly, but he also had a body temp of 108.8 (lethal range for adults is beyond 105*). Chances of him surviving are low, and surviving fully intact brain function even lower. He is/was 22. Have fun, enjoy life, it's way too short as is. Atleast he got to enjoy Benny Benassi before he passed out... PS--- Wrestling someone high on PCP...not as fun as it sounds. PPS--- As promised, Rave chicks. If I get the chance to choose my own way out, MDMA OD will probably be it. (If not, I go skydiving until my chute fails or I have a heart attack.) -------------

The LD-50 of MDMA ( http://thedea.org/technicalFAQ.html - http://thedea.org/technicalFAQ.html ) is between 100mg/kg and 300mg/kg... which means an average, healthy male for example would have a 50% chance of dying if he took between 8.5g and 25.5g (assuming he's 85 kg)

It's extremely hard to die from MDMA alone. Over 8g's is more than most anyone would spend considering even if you buy in bulk a gram will run you around $100.
Where people run into problems is cut E or dehydration. Most pills a cut with meth/Pipe or H. Much easier to OD on opiates if you have no tolerance. ------------- |

^There's a guy who wrote a report of smoking DMT right before skydiving, really good read. As I'm sure you know, you can't OD on LSD. You heard of the thumbprint, mostly with deadheads?

Yeah, you're telling me. For the people on this forum who have met me, they know I'm not really a buff guy, but for the first minute or two, it was just me trying to hold the guy down--- no easy feat, especially considering it finally took 8 of us to tie him to the stretcher... and another 6 at the hospital to move him. As for the first guy-- I stopped by the hospital yesterday on another call and spoke to one of the nurses-- the guy is in the ICU, but very unstable, prognosis is bad, and even if he does survive, brain damage is highly likely due to how high his temp was. -------------

Yes I did. He played on the stage right next to the first aid room so I was able to listen to most of it... did a fairly good sendoff (and I'm usually not in to that type of music) -------------
