I don't understand why these things got so popular this year at the World Cup. They've been a huge part of watching soccer games for years. Ask anybody that's ever attended National soccer games and you will know what I mean. Hell we still have one in my parents garage from going to watch the Womens national soccer team back when Mia Hamm was in her prime. My dad uses it as a gasoline funnel.

Because this is the first African Fifa World Cup ever, and its more their culture. So yeah, it would always be there, but not like this. I have one from a hockey game even.

They have always been a part of SA soccer. It generally isn't an issue when crowds are around 30 000. The crowds are now running at 70 000, most of which are SA guys.
