I picked up a Sierra One from my local dealer this week. I noticed when I aired it up with my HPA tank that there was a small hiss from inside the marker. It seems the braided line is faulty as I have re-teflon'ed the joint that was hissing. Either that or the actually mechanism is cracked or malformed.

I am pretty disappointing in this especially after seeing the number of threads here regarding Tippmann markers that are leaking, especially when they are brand new. You would think that this kind of thing would be caught by a QA check before it left the factory.

That said, according to my local dealer Tippmann has fantastic warranty service and does the work local. Hopefully they/Tippmann live up to the expectations set.

Does anyone else have this same issue with the Sierra One? I will post a followup regarding the service I receive.

nah my salvo has been tossed, thrown and even droped from 15 feet high, never cracked anything or made it not work correctly. It has to be one of the most reliable guns ever. I'd rate 98C as most reliable though.

My friends Alpha black has taken a few beatings also and no issues with it either.

yes sir! you mean where the braided line screws into the valve? ive fixed quite a few, they use tfp paste instead of tefflon tape. i tried tefflon tape, it didnt work. the tolerances were too close. peeled tha tape off. so thats why they use tfp paste, i recently switched to megalock multipurpose thread sealant... if you go to the hardware store the stuff is the thread sealant for black pipe. "gas pipe" its not so gooey as tfp, flows into the threads better. _popupControl();

Well my local dealer took it in for repair no questions asked. It will be interesting to see what they find, as far as I could tell it was a faulty line not just bad sealant. But thanks for the tip 02x24, I will grab some of that for sure as I am sure it will come in handy.

So it took them nearly 3 weeks to do a simple replacement. As I suspected it was the braided air line on the gun and not the seals. Not sure why it took so long, but the repair didn't cost me anything.
