Yeah, Quarantine was an american re-make/ ripoff of Rec. Apparently Rec is much better.

Man, Phantasm is actually pretty great. Also, on the topic of Vincent Price, The Abominable Dr Phibes is a great one, also (I think there was a sequel, too).

I would also suggest "Human Centipede" and "Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon"

I caught a movie on late night TV that I expected to be your standard "B"-grade movie but it surprised me by really creeping me out.

Cabin Fever.

Rec is freaking amazing. The people that made quarantine bought the US distribution rights to Rec to ensure the US public never gets to see the original and would go to their crap remake instead.

Rec is very good. I really liked Paranormal Activity, but you kind of have to be from the paranoid regions if the Bible belt to appreciate.

Otherwise, I'm not a huge horror fan. The Descent was good, I enjoyed High Tension inspite of its plot holes.

Just a tip-American movie makers fail at modern horror. Look up independent and foreign horror films on Google and go from there.

Even though I love that movie. The whole damn thing is a plot hole. The gas station scene where the chick is hiding in the store from the "Killer" is so dumb.

Really?

I always regard cabin fever as the worst movie on the planet.  I saw it in the theaters way back when and everyone i went with hated it.

Pet Cemetary

I'm drawing a blank here. I really like SciFi (I refuse to call it SyFy) Channel originals. They're usually so bad, they're hilarious.

That's why I liked it. Maybe you guys expected too much from it. I love B grade movies, especially ones that don't take themselves too seriously.

That's pretty much Cabin Fever right there :p

I'm gonna go ahead and say this again: "Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon."

It's not really a horror movie. It's like horror-comedy/documentary on the steps a serial killer takes to be a serial killer. Highly recommended.
