Hello! I'm new to this forum but not necessarily to paint ball. I've had a 98 Custom for about a year now, with little upgrades to it other than a custom paint-job. I also have a TPX which I bought about 4 months ago (To be honest it's not really worth it). So I've recently been looking to upgrade to a new marker, and it has come down to two options: And A5 (Which comes in a package deal with a stock and tri-rail grip) or a RAP4 T68 hopper-fed AK47.

I like the A5 because I can eventually customize it to look like a MP5, and it is probably easy to upgrade as well. It is also a bit more well-known, so trouble shooting won't be a problem. What worries me about the A5 is that it is too 'common', doesn't carry a large intimidation factor, and I'll have to spend a pretty penny to get it the way I want it too.

However I like the T68 because it is built to look like the AK47, one of my favorite guns, so I can't really get any closer to that look. It is also full-metal and weighs 6 pounds, the sheer intimidation factor alone makes me want the gun. It's barrel is also pretty accurate from what I can tell. What worries me about the T68 is that it is hopper fed, so breaks could be more likely, and it is harder to upgrade (Can you even change the barrel?).

Some misc. things: I'll buy a sling for both so I can effectively use my TPX, and I use CO2.

Thanks in advance.

Unless RAP4 has improved their quality, I would stick with an A5.

There is a Tacamo AK47 kit and an awesome Krinkov ( the AK carbine) kit as well. RAP4 magfed markers are well known to be maintanance intensive and prone to leaks. Seasoned players wontbe intimidated by an AK looking marker. So that might only work on newer players. Also being limited to 18 rds in a magazine will put you in a handicapped specially now days that players are packing high end electros and Phenoms to the woods. While not necesary a bad thing on itself. Just hope that you don't get discouraged from playing because you find yourself outgunned. The A5's cyclone feed hopper gives you the option of changing loader size to suit your needs tac caps for limited paint or more MILSIM type games and sleek low profile x7 types hoppers for agressive play to bulk 400lbs loaders for when your a moving wall of paint.

The A5 also would allow you to change the look of the market as you decide that you need a mp5 for cqb. A ump, a 414, M249 Saw the options are many. I recomendation the A5 because it's the most custumizable platform.
