This time change is far less enjoyable than the other time change.

Last night, I successfully completed TIME TRAVEL!

The amazing part is that I conducted the leap into the future whilst in a bar, drinking!

Savings time kicked my ass last night, then laughed at me like a little girl. I feel thoroughly conquered.

Wasn't there a Pete & Pete episode where they tried to beat daylight savings time?

Its never been so bad for me as it has been this year. I was coming off an insane work week, preparing for another one,

But even that I can deal with.

No, my real issue was with the 30 pound two year old meaty little alarm clock that we keep around.
His schedule is pretty rigid- a must with a toddler. The issue is that he can't tell time yet, nor adjust himself to the change. Wakeup time, nap time, and 'go to bed' time have to be synched to biological habits, not the numbers on the clock. What a pain in the ass that was yesterday.

I wish Alabama would just get drafted into the eastern timezone and ignore DST.

The eastern timezone doesn't ignore it?....

No, but if we were in the eastern time zone, we would stay the hour ahead and COULD ignore it. Stop using it like Arizona or Indiana. (Basically this would put us on DST all year round compared to our current situation.)

Geographically I never have figured out why the time zones move back and forth like they do. If we went down the lines of longitude, the eastern timezone would almost run down the Mississippi river.
