So in the first 60 seconds of the show, they've shown what is to come in the show.

Basically, I see them repeating the things the real Top Gear has already done, except worse.

This is going to be a major failure.

So far...

Why couldn't they just show the real one on history?

Even their Stig introduction was pathetic.

Saw a preview several weeks ago and expected failure. I'll stick to British top gear.

I'm not surprised in the slightest that it blows.

This show is garbage. Look at Adam Ferrara, he doesn't even want to be there.

I left it on long enough to realize it was Americanized. I didn't give it a chance after that. Glad my intuition didn't fail me.

The commercials looked like garbage.  The British version is better, but it most certainly isn't the best show on TV either.

I didnt see the previews, how is it different? Same concept, different people?

I always loved the American specials on Brit Topgear, or when they had American cars. Mostly because I am familiar with the type of cars and Jeremy and the dark haired guy always complain about well.... everything. The Vietnam Special was a good episode too.

Seriously.

I think Glassjaw was joking.  I'm just gonna run with that.

I'm a little confused.  Are you guys saying you're extremely fond of the Brit Top Gear?

It's honestly one of the best shows on television.

I tried watching it, and I managed to somehow make it through till the end. Even though it was to scripted and they did very little talking about the cars they were driving. The second it was over I popped my dvd of season 10 (british topgear) in to help me get over how bad it was.

It is absolutely amazing. Sometimes it might have an episode that isn't as exciting and sometimes the interviews can be boring, but even those were better than the american interview, which was absolutely horrible.

I must say I chuckled when that stig chucked the brick through the window.

It will never be the same. Even really good motoring shows will fail for the simple fact it's not Top Gear.

We have a few copycat programmes here one is actually called 5th gear. It's been around as long as top gear i think but they just can't do it. You need clarkson and everybody elses humour in there. All other programmes try too hard to force the funny. "Hey guys were a bit mad! Don't mind us loonies!! LOL"

Super-super scripted, the whole stig thing was also done very poorly.  You can't beat the original.

EDIT: It's not funny, that's half of the top gear recepie!

Yep.

Even my wife, who wouldn't know a Bugatti from a Maserati from a Vespa, loves watching the BBCA reruns.
We don't share much common ground on TV shows, so if we can agree on a single show, its the Brit Top Gear.

I don't really plan on bothering to watch the US top gear episodes. Disappointing.
