I'm not going to lie Mehs,... that looks disgusting. I looked up Juicy Lucy and came up with a cheese filled hamburger. That vaguely looks like roadkill with puss oozing out of it.

It's not light smooth, it's not drinkable, but thats what's good about it. When you drink it down your throat it gives you a good feeling like George Washington is going down your throat to fight the Brits, the redcoats, and Indians.

Kofta Kebab:Naan, with ground lamb (with parsely/cumin/misc spices), hummus and garlic sauce, and pearl onion.
No PBR, ran out
And last night: Steak, fried potatoes, corn, and (of course), a PBR.
And I just had this, I think it's called shakshuka ??I have no idea. Wheat pita, eggs, goat liver, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, garlic, green peppers, serano peppers, cardamom, saffron, cumin, spices with no English on it. Never had goat liver, or even liver. This was amazing. No PBR, it was too early.

It's better than Old Milwaukee. I once confiscated a 6 pack of that stuff from a troop who I offered the choice of forking over the beer or his ID card (for age verification) and he chose to give me the beer. Normally, I would give the stuff I confiscated to anyone who could prove they were of age. No one wanted it. When I got curious and tried one I understood why.

Wish I was around for the "good ol' days". Not that I endorse underage drinking by anymeans, but the new culture of the AF is ridiculous on this issue. It's gone from maybe some wall to wall couseling or buying your supervisor a 12 pack to loss of stripes or separation. Meh..

| Tofu is great. Heat your wok with oil over high heat, throw in some garlic and ginger, scoop them out before they burn, then toss in your tofu and stir fry the hell out of it till it gets crispy. Pull it out, add more oil, then do the same with your veggies. Throw everything back in for a few minutes with your sauce, cover the wok, and let it steam briefly.
So good.

Key piece of information in bold.
It's not Jamaica Plain, but there's really nothing there unless you want to go to frat parties. The crew team normally has it's toga party there every fall, so I visit on occasion, but it's not exactly a tourist location.

Old Milwaukee is my favorite cheap beer ever. A 12-pack for $5.99? Yes please.
Now, on to dinner.
Tonight I had stewed kale, chick peas and carrots with a dollop of Greek yogurt and bacon. The stew was a base of chicken broth with paprika and cumin, with diced shallot and garlic. Oh, and a nice wedge of Italian bread.
The next one is actually from last week, and my roommate cooked it, not me. I've always complained that I've never had a good porkchop, so she cooked me one.
It's a pan-seared pork chop on top of a red onion and green apple reduction thing, cooked down with a pan-sauce made from the pork chop drippings and Woodchuck Granny Smith. Served with homemade mashed potatoes, made from half standard mashing potatoes and half purple potatoes (Thus the strange color). Fluffed up with a bit of yogurt.

It is normally rough. I always forget about it because the smell normally doesn't attack until the next morning. Then if it is that first pee of the morning you're half-awake and wondering what is happening.
However it does act as a sort of indicator as to how long my digestion cycle is. So I guess that is neat.
