Here is the New Tippmann A-5 with the new generation Flatline. I added and modified a LAPCO MP5 magazine and a SpecOps commando stock.

I have to say I can't wait to shoot it New Year's day at the New Year's Day game at AirSportsPB in Ludlow Mass!

I like the new reciever castings and the fact that Tippmann got smrt and made the front lip removable(unless its just gone, I cant tell). I am also happy they didnt ruin the A5 with a giant gaudy weaver rail like they did with the 98. I am dissappointed though, the old flatline was cool. I remember being a newbie and opening Paintball Sports and seeing a two page ad with the new TIPPMANN A5 STEALTH. It was just a simple flatline and car stock, but it sure did look cool then.

Where is it made? Offshore or domestic? I suspect the new recievers are cast in China.

Very nice!  I love good mil-sim markers.

Yeah, I couldn't get into the box fast enough yesterday. What a very 'businesslike' looking marker.

I definitely don't like that the "Tippmann *A-5*" is now cast into the reciever. One of the things I liked best about the old A-5 was that with 2 minutes and a hair drier, I could have the A-5 plague gone with no damage to the marker.... Booo. Do like the new Flatline shroud though. Yay.....

Its really very 'crisp' to shoot. There's none of the 'wiggle' that I felt with the old A-5 model. The entire shooting cycle of this piece is really very tight.

Sounds like it is more like the X-7 then...  That is the biggest difference I noticed between the old A-5 and the new X-7 was how "tight" it felt when you cycled it.

Get a Dremmel, it's going to be your best friend.
look at the area arround where the airline goes into the Tombstone. It's bigger than the older Model. So you will have to remove some Material to get it to slide in. I got impatient and used a Bandsaw. I suggest if your doing this by yourself you use a dremmel and grind away at the plastic untill you get a good fit.
