Mom got me Rosetta stone, some Olive Peoples replicas, cologne, other doodads. And they're letting me take the family iPad.

Dad got me a bunch of sweet winter jackets and workout clothes and a sweet knife.

Sister got me a fifth of Patron, which was sweet and unexpected.

Between all that, and the money my grandma/various relatives gave me, I had a very blessed Christmas this year.

The one that I value the most was a copy of a book on leadership recently published by a retired Canadian general who's a bit of a hero of mine. My stepmom was able to get the book inscribed for me at a signing.

Got a prepaid visa gift card, a nice dress shirt and tie, a small bottle of Crown, some other little stuff as stocking stuffers, folding knife/multitool pair... that's mostly it.

Nice low key, quiet Christmas.

A pocketknife, which was nice, because it was the only thing I asked for really. My old one had gotten too old. I ended up getting a Gerber Presto 3.0. It is flicky and such.

A Mr. Beer kit. We'll see if I make beer or gasoline.

Two of the Good Eats cookbooks. The ones with the info from the show, not the standalone ones.

A coffee thermos. I take it back. This was the other thing I asked for. I had no way to take coffee with me to work. Which is important when you live in the tundra.

A 16-pack of 100-page-count legal pads. School, work, research, everything in my life is recorded on a legal pad. I hate writing in spirals.

A big ol' pack of Pilot G2 pens in assorted colors. The best pen you can buy.

A toolbox. I dunno, my mom thought it was cool. It's one of those little black $10 deals from Home Depot. I'll honestly probably end up using it for camera gear.

The rest of everything else was pretty much "Oh hey, Jeff lives where it is cold out now" type gifts, which I will not complain about, it's just a little comical. It includes:

Three pairs of gloves, which included:
  • One pair of standard soft Isotoner gloves.
  • One pair of waterproof grippy gloves with rubber palms and fingertips. These will be nice for photography in the elements, as I can stil manage to press the shutter.
  • One pair of massive puffy waterproof Redhead gloves, which are mega warm but I might as well be wearing mittens.
One fuzzy scarf.

Two pairs of super insulated socks. Knee high.

Three hats:
  • One is your standard pull-down hat. I think it has trees on it.
  • One kind of looks like it is made from bears and looks like the kid mailmen wear, with the part going over your ears.
  • One is homemade from my friend Ben (Kid who made the NES PC) who knit it. It is awesome. I will post it later.
About three sweaters and assorted long-sleeve shirts.

Four thermal underwear shirts.

Flannel pajamas.

For those wondering about the Beats. I've had my tour beats for over a year now and I absolutely love them. Sound is amazing and you don't have to have the music loud because it cancels outside noise pretty well.

My gifts this year weren't plentiful.
Armor All car care kit
earmuffs
ratchet to replace a broken one
cash

To offset the lack of gifts. I will be buying an alarm system with remote start for the car. I have always wanted one. I just wish it wasn't going to drain my wallet $6-700.

I have a set of sennheiser RS120's in my theater... Very nice wireless headphones, and perfect for gaming... Plus no batteries to mess with, and they are very comfortable.

For Christmas, I picked up a few new xmods for my track. I now have a car for every channel 1-8... Keeping my eye out for channel 9, 10, and 11.

But, mostly I have been busy with my new playstation 3, with GT5. Holy cow that game is incredible. I also got a logitec shock wireless steering wheel. Which just makes the game so much better, it is crazy how accurate the vibration is, when you clip a curb, or go up on the berms, it shudders just like a real car.

My GT5 user name is "FASTRMASTR" if you wanna add me and race sometime. I have been on there every night this week so far. My favorite car is my modified 56 buick with 799 horsepower! I won the exotic race series last night, as even lambo's couldn't keep up with my buick...

(never thought I would like a buick...)

Tippmann hooked up my field with a pretty awesome Christmas present too. They are our 2011 sponsor, and with their generous gift a few new players will be able to join us for each event this year! Videos soon, as our first event is Saturday 1.1.11.

Sex...

Then I bought myself a Dyson DC17, yes, I am excited about my vacuum.

The wife and I chilled out on Christmas this year, it's mainly about the kids. That and we are saving up for a big trip back home in the summer. Transporting family of 5 from MT to VA, then a cruise for our 5 year anniversary (sans, kids) and hanging out in VA for a coupe weeks.

I'm due to be promoted on Jan 26, but that's been put on hold. Yay for crosstraining and getting boned in the process.

Just some cheap Mr. Coffee thingy. It works and is an upgrade from my old one, it has a clock... a digital one. I'm moving up in the world.

I have 3 kids and 2 cats, so it's like a houseful of pets. I like a somewhat clean house, I don't mind having the "lived in clutter". Our current vacuum can't keep up to vacuuming 2-3 times a week and it requires about $30 in "regular Maintainence" parts every 6 months. Not cool.

So while keeping my eye lids opened wayy to late at night, HSN sold me on a new vacuum.
