Maybe I'm missing something here but I still don't see a release date. Their site looks crappy on my phone.

It used to be Feb or March of this year. I'm going to be pretty amused and disgusted at the same time if they start delaying it.

It's amazing how much the state of video games has changed since Duke Nukem was popular.

Not just graphics and all of that nuts and bolts stuff.

But, think about heros in video games now. The main characters that are popular. How many games after Half-Life were made around the more quiet, relatable and trying to survive character of Gordon Freeman? You just don't see games much anymore where the hero is a "Cigar chomping, beer chugging" hulk with a flat top and comicly oversized upper body.

Having Duke Nukem stick around long enough to release a game now will only excel because of the shock factor of still seeing a relic from 1990s gaming around.

"I'm gonna rip off your head and poop down your throat!"

If DN4E doesn't have lines like that I'm gonna ask for my money back.

I don't want to play a quiet character trying to survive, I want an Action Hero.

I have some really good memories of our IT guy at my first real job setting up the network in our office so that we could stay late and play Duke Nukem with about 6-8 people back in the mid 90's. It was a freaking blast and great way to blow off steam after a really trying day of work. Totally one of the best memories I have of that place. Of course the fun only lasted until the old fart that owned the company happened to drive by the office one night about 4 hours after we should have all left for the day. He came in thinking that he was going to find someone putting in some extra hours only to catch a bunch of us pumped on up Mountain Dew and/or beer, yelling and screaming smack talk across the office about how we were going to put a cap in each other's arses. He was less than enthused and even after the IT guy said there was absolutely no harm it could do to the system, he made him clear all our terminals the next day. What a douche.
