Just got my a5 back together and now when i attach my hpa tank it goes full auto, problem is i haven't cocked yet, havent pulled the trigger, and the gun is semi-auto. Tank doesn't have much air in it but i dont think it should be doing this. I'm probably a little paranoid because this is the first time i have taken it apart. Thanks in advanced.

You should always be cocking the gun before applying the air source. The spring pressure can hold the main valve partially open when you screw the bottle on, causing leaks and other issues.

great advice, cocked gun, added air, fires perfectly, now to find a place to chrono. anyone know what 275fps is in mph?(my brother is a cop). thanks for the help, obviously im new here. just got the gun and before i took it apart i did not have to do this. maybe due to all the grit and grime i cleaned out of the gun. thanks again:)

Just buy a chrono.  You'll need it at the field anyway as marker velocity can change with weather conditions, the paint being used, if the barrel is changed, if a different type of propellant is used or a different tank and numerous other things as well.
