Anyone see some good shows lately?

I just returned home from seeing Leon Redbone perform. Venue was small, probably 100 people or so, and he really got the audience into it. Fun times.

May catch Snoop Dogg when he rolls through town next month.

Not since September. Social Distortion just announced a show in May. I would love to see Social D...I'll keep an eye on that.

Saw Snoop about a year ago.  I recommend it, except he came on about an hour and a half late...I wonder what he was doing backstage.

Last weekend I saw a RHCP tribute band that was actually really good, easily worth the 5$ cover.

This weekend I'm going to see 3 Inches of Blood at the same place.

Seen a lot of local acts lately, nothing notable.

The last major bands I saw were the Black Keys, Kings of Leon, and the Whigs. All around solid show.

I saw Buddy Guy playing live at his club this past Friday.

Being 30 feet from a legend was pretty amazing, especially when he plays like he's still 25.

That last show I saw was I Fight Dragons.  Here are some pictures....ugh giant pictures...let me resize....whatever...just deal with giant pictures.

Lead Singer

They are a chip-tune band and actually make music with these controllers.

This guy is actually making music from a rock band guitar.  Also the pad on the floor has sounds for each button.

And here is an NES controller being played.

Just got back from Robert Plant.  Was a good time.  We got well over a foot of snow here today though so driving was quite a journey.

I have been too poor lately. Koolit just reminded me that Minus the Bear was here about a month ago. I really wanted to go but just couldn't spring for the ticket.

When I'm not posting from an iPhone (that's becoming a common phrase on the Internet...along with obscenely wrong autocorrections) I'll post some of his best music. He's a blues guitar legend, probably the most important blues guitarist still alive. He's amazing, and he never ages.

Leon Redbone owns!

I saw a bluegrass jam band called Railroad Earth a few weeks ago.

Might be going to see Phish soon.

God, I'm turning into a hippie.

Going to see Against Me! at Ken Casey's new bar in Providence. I was going to buy DKM tickets just to see AM!(seen DKM too much to justify $40 a ticket). Kind of glad I didn't after I saw they were playing their own show at a bar.

Was going to see House of Pain and Slaine, but Slaine dropped the tour.
