How the hell do you get a stain out of a silk tie?

I got some sauce on it and I don't want to machine wash it. So far after a google search people are just saying "you don't". Anyone got any ideas?

Take it to the cleaners, or just paint it with sauce to make it even....

Rubbing alcohol works pretty well. Just dab it on the stain and use a dry towel to soak it up then repeat several times. Use a hair dryer to fully dry the tie when you're done.

As a bonus, after doing this if you're ever in a survival situation while wearing the tie you can suck the sauce out of it for sustenance.

I would just set it over the fire for a few minutes to get more of a smoky flavor and then consume the whole thing.
