Nice movie (her choice), dinner, gift certificate for a spa, give her a massage at the end of the night.
60% of the time, it works every time.

Mine was movie, dinner, flowers, massage. Had to do it this weekend already, and it went well.

Oh, we aren't doing anything for valentines. I'll be on campus all day, which is equal parts responsible academics, and dodging her. But she and I both always felt that valentines was B.S.

Yeah, for some reason (I blame Ax Men) I was thinking this was "what did you do" rather than a "what should I do."

When I'm dating someone, I hate valentines because I'm expected to get out to a crowded restaurant / theater with a bunch of other couples and buy some kind of BS gift, just to get something I've been getting for a time anyway.
When I'm single, it's just a reminder that I'm not getting any tonight.
Go to hell Valentine's Day.

You will then need to cut a hole in that box.

Keeping her expectations low, good man.
Valentines day '09 scarred me for life. That was my first day washing dishes at the Brooklyn Bridge restaurant, my first day working in a kitchen in general and we were reservation only. The place was packed all night and we didn't leave til after midnight.

My girl's opposed to me spending money on her (not complaining), so I made her a card, I'm cooking her dinner, and the grand finale would be bringing the air mattress outside by the bonfire and watching a movie on my laptop. 100% of the time it works every time.

Hopefully you included a card instructing her which of those to use on you.

Yeah, but doesn't the whipped cream affect the conductivity?

Can't go wrong with a pork tenderloin marinated and cooked in white wine. There's a ton of recipes, it's super easy, and tastes great.

Listen man, if you want a play-by-play of Mr. and Mrs. Hopper's nightlife, please take it to pm's.
Hysteria: take a salmon fillet, put it in an aluminum foil "baggie" with two teaspoons of olive oil and some lime juice squeezed onto it (about a quarter of an orange worth). Put it in the oven for 15 minutes at 350*. Pepper and salt it lightly and put it on a bed of rice or couscous with a side of diced tomotoes (from a can) heated just to boiling with a half teaspoon of basil and salted to taste in it. Put your aluminum baggies on the grill and do some grilled grean beans or asparagus with them if you aren't a tomato fan.
