About time someone got fed up with their crap. The only question is whether this is the same homophobic /b/ Anonymous, or someone else....

Fed up with whose crap? WBC's? I hope someone does something even if 10 idiots go to jail for it.
I really would love to see WBC destroyed. Wawawa I'm un-American prohibiting freedom of speech, but seriously they should die.
Since when is /b/ homophobic anyway?

It's not /b/.
/b/'s version of anonymous is the one that should come to mind when you hear about all the cyber bullying stories.
The Anonymous that you think of in relation to the Scientology protests, recent support of Wikileaks, and such is a separate entity that for the most part has separated itself from /b/.

That's exactly what they want. They want to offend enough people that someone assaults them, and then they sue.

Yup.
And I knew that wasn't /b/ when they expressed distate at WBC's lack of Christ-likeness.

/b/ and anonymous is not a single entity.
Anonymous is whoever feels like doing something and then claiming they represent ANONYMOUS LEGION. You know like blowing up vans and such.
/b/ is half 12 year olds.
Point being, who cares who it is. Every person(maybe single person) who wrote that to WBC could frequent /b/ everyday or not, who knows.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Anonymous doesn't have separate sects nor is it confined to one site. Anonymous isn't homophobic, many gays are part of anon.
Just stay out of this one newb.

Agreed, you're trying to add hierarchy and divisions that simply do not exist.

I just hardly believe that the same people who troll 12 year olds are the same people who end up DDOSing major corporations, because of some slimy thing that they've done. Anonymous isn't even technically a set group, there are no leaders, and people can help, or ignore as they please. And I never said Anon was homophobic

I'm tired of anonymous. They are hypocritical fat-ass geeks that live in their parents basement and have no real-world social abilities. Did I mention they are hypocritical?
Having said that, I fully expect an attack on my computer and personal life. You'll find me bankrupt and in a homeless shelter soon.

You seem to know an awful lot about people you can't name. For all you know they could be living in their parent's attic or shed.

How so?
They claim to be advocates of free speech, yet attack private companies that exercise their own free speech.
If that's no hypocritical, I don't know what is.

Let's see:
Amazon
Bank Of America
Visa
MasterCard
Paypal
Also attacked private security firms for ousting the criminals that are anonymous.
Et cetera and so forth.

My ignorance comment wasn't about them being hypocritical, but your blatantly oblivious stereotyping. Also, I'm not sure a non-group-group can be hypocritical when they don't really have core values to start with. They are everyone and nobody and anybody who participates. The construction of the participants will vary from time to time, as will the aspects and values of those involved. Yes, I agree they are contradictory, but its sort of the nature of how they work.

I was on WG earlier today looking for new wallpapers and browsed my way over to /b/ for awhile and they had tons of WBC threads.
Their "plan" was to send them thousands of those free flat rate boxes.

So apparently, WBC has responded with "Bring it"...
The behavior of the WBC is reprehensible, but I'm really not sure I like the methods of Anonymous either...

Stereotyping? No. A blantently obvious joke you missed? Yup.
Did you also miss the "Having said that, I fully expect an attack on my computer and personal life. You'll find me bankrupt and in a homeless shelter soon."? I highly doubt they'll ruin my life for calling them out.
Anyway, yes, they are hypocritical, even if it was just that ONE group at that ONE time with that ONE mission. The reason they attacked those businesses is because they support the "freedom of speech" that WikiLeaks was doing, yet are hypocritical for attacking private businesses deciding not to do business with/for them.

The unabashed corporatist Linus vs. the 6-year-old's tree-house of the Internet supporters.
It's like a battle over which can be more irritating, nails on a chalk board of the sound an egg carton makes.
