We've done forum fitness threads in the past, but they didn't really go anywhere after the first few days of everyone posting up their goals.  I think the reason for this is that the goals were too long term and people lost interest, got busy, etc.  So, i propose to you all a forum Crossfit thread/club.  Basically all you have to do is go to  http://www.crossfit.com/ - http://www.crossfit.com/   and complete the Workout of the Day, or "WoD".  Once you have completed it, just post your result in this thread and state any variations you made due to lack of equipment/facilities/abilities.  The workouts shouldn't take more than 30minutes a day so the time commitment is pretty minuscule.  One of the big benefits to this is that the workout is already set for you so you don't have to have a lot of experience designing your own.  Along the left side of the page you can find a link to demos to all of the exercises if you aren't sure what something is.  Hopefully this will give everyone a bit more motivation to get up and go exercise.  So who's in?

I'm a fan of the idea, but not a fan of the crossfit gym concept.

Having people doing compound/olympic lifts until near failure while unsupervised smells like a great way to get injured.

as long as you know how to drop it right, the risk for injury shouldn't be too high, but obviously you would want to use your own judgement.

....but you need the experience of lifting correctly, especially if any of you will be timing yourself on your workouts. There is a LOT more damage to be done to your body in weightlifting than just dropping a weight on your foot.
