Hey guys, im an apprentice at this and i opened up my tippmann A5 for the first time to clean it up,

Problem:
once everything assembled i noticed that the cyclone didnt turn( when i cocked the cocking handle and turned on the E grip and fired)  note that i did this without any air attached to the gun.

is the cyclone supposed to turn when there is no air given to it? or does it turn only when there is air?

If i remember well, when cocking the gun, the cyclone is supposed to turn once am i not right?

If it doesn't do so without air then what would be the problem?

If my question is unclear please tell me and i will reexplain, i havent slept for 24 hours and thats the best i can come up with an explanation!

CLIFFS: opened up gun, put it back, shot a couple of time with egrip on and NO AIR attached to gun, PROBLEM:cyclone not turning, is that normal?

The Cyclone Feed works off of air pressure--it won't work if their is no air on the marker.

No.

or does it turn only when there is air?

Yes

You would be wrong. Cocking/uncocking has very little to do with Cyclone operation.  The Cyclone can be manually cycled by pushing on the reset button on the right side of the marker.

If it doesn't do so without air then what would be the problem?

There is no problem--other than a lack of manual reading.

You're welcome.  You will find people here are a lot more willing to be patient with/helpful to those who have done their homework as opposed to those who haven't.
