Rather than ask for advice or touchy-feely crap like that to help me make this life changing decision, I made it a very simple poll.  Vote and watch me suffer/enjoy the results!

Why do I feel like this is almost the same plot as that movie where the killer had that webcast that more people that watched, the faster the person died (wish I could rememebr the name =/ )

Assuming he doesn't tell us beforehand, we would have to pick yes. If we pick no, then nothing happens. If we pick yes however, something horrible could happen, or something hilarious, or something completely unexpected in any way. No matter how it ends, we as a collective forum will profit in lulz.

What happens if he's leaning towards doing something hilarious or completely unexpected and we pick "no"? Then we lose.

I like the keep it even strategy.

What if he is asking us if he shouldn't do something awesome?  Then if we pick yes, he won't.

If I understood the question correctly, he is asking us whether he should do it, or not; not whether or not he should stick to his instinct.

I'm interested how you came to that conclusion from "YES OR NO?"

Well, I suspected he was essentially asking, "Should I do it?" but, it was mainly just a slightly narcissistic idea that my first impression > yours; If I'm honest.

I could have made it "Option 1" and "Option 2" but instead I phrased the question as "Should I do option 1?" hence, the yes or no.

I trust the combined wisdom of the interwebz.  Wikipedia knows everything.

The slowly nodding-yes signature that is so pervasive in this thread is making me inclined to pic yes.

Since he can't be troubled to give us even the most basic information, we cannot be held responsible for the consequences.

Douglas Adams wouldn't steer me wrong, I vote "42".
