I recently got my TPX and I gotta say that I love it already. I do have a bit of a gripe about the holster that Tippmann makes for it. I like the desing and that it's comfterble but my gripe is that the snapping strap that holds the marker secure in the holster a bit hard to work with if you have to do a quick draw or when you need to be fast on pulling the marker from the holster. I would like to see a more traditional thumb brake style that is more common on police and military style tactical holsters at some point.

New holster idea: I'm pretty much the kind of player to tinker with my gear a lot and try different set ups or configurations. a better holster would be nice for that idea. I was thinking of something like this,
This is the Bianchi M12 Universal Military Holster. It can be configured for on the belt, shoulder carry and drop leg. The holster is fully ambidextorus. I think that this kind of desing will be a perfect holster for the TPX and others like the TAC 8 series.

Any opinions?

Yes. The Bianchi M12 is bloody awful. It relies on an awkward and finnicky release that does not accommodate the natural hand motions of drawing a pistol. There's a reason most of the guys carrying pistols with any expectation of having to use them ditch the Bianchi and buy their own.

But since it's just for playing paintball, do what you'd like.

Yup, he actually said that.

Actually, I've seen the desing and it was pretty good if set up properly. You can have the worst holster, but if set up right and your use to it, then to have a slight edge.

Considering Bri is military, I'd trust his expertise.

Actually, so have I, and I've shot from it. You're wrong, it's crap. I didn't learn about holsters on the Internet. I know a bunch of dudes who paid good money for their own holsters *because* they were given a bianchi.

General rule of thumb is that anything the army issues for free is not something an informed end user would ever pay for were they buying something themselves.
