Hey guys,

I recently went out and purchased a Tippmann 98 Custom Response Trigger for my gun. My gun had worked fine before it and never had problems. However, after installing it, my gun won't move. When I pull back on the bolt and pull the trigger, nothing happens. It won't move. I attached air to it and nothing happened.

After taking the gun apart and putting it back together with no success, I turned to the directions. It said it included a new "power tube (to replace older receivers)". There was not one in the package. Could this be the problem? My gun is only 3 months old, so I can't imagine it being that.

I have taken the gun apart many times, to add a new trigger and to clean it, so it's not like I haven't taken it apart before, but did I put it back together wrong, or is it the power tube?

Thanks.

I figured it out!

As it turns out, the end cap of my gun has to be one notch out. There was too much pressure on the sear spring, that it wouldn't move forward.
As for the response trigger, I had forgotten that I had tightened it completely, and that would explain the "no CO2" situation.

Hm. I doubt that the endcap has to be one notch out. The end cap is holding in a lot of pressure, and having it half-off may be a problem...

Sounds like the drive spring wasn't sitting properly or something.

If I were to guess, he forgot to rotate the cocking handle to line up the hole for the main spring.
