I know this is a very old subject to most but I recently found out that c02 bottles have to be checked 5 years after their date, and all the things I found off of google where a few years old.

So my questions are:
Are 9oz bottles exempt from this law/rule?
Is it worth getting compressed air over c02?
What is hyrdo testing?

and if 9oz are exempt, should I even worry about buying anything bigger?

btw I'm not new to the game, but I've never heard of this 5 year deal and noone at Paint Ball Central has mentioned it or said anything about my tanks.

Also I found a Trinity A5 Double Trigger H.E. grip  for $1.10. Would this work on a A5 that doesn't have H.E.? I have a regular spyder with a double trigger and I can dish out some paint and I'd love to buy one for my A5 since it's 14.00 cheaper than normal price.

Really any tank should be checked after a few years.  Co2 works fine and i dont know why people hate it so much.  and yes get a biger tank. get like 20 oz or somehting

Its not that i think stuipidity should be punishable by death, i just think we should take the warning labels off of things and let the problem handle itself.

certain tanks under a certain diameter are exempt, although i'm not too sure about the co2 tank regulations.

Is it worth getting compressed air over c02?
yes, compressed air is cleaner and more consistent than co2.  it'll give you a waaaay better shot to shot consistency, which boils down to accuracy.

What is hyrdo testing?

hydro testing is usually talked about with compressed air tanks.  its where they take a tank, and pressurize it over what would be normally and they measure the expansion of the tank itself.  It is to make sure the tank is still strong enough to be used.

so you can shoot more paint before running out of air.

my x7 phenom gets jaed when i use co2, i guess it depends on the gun, the cylcone feed dosnt even move. but the phenom i guess is pretty fussy so you shouldnt have a problem with co2 on the a5

Bottom Line:

Co2 in the cold freezes over quicky (HPA never will)

HPA can be used on higher firing modes than CO2 without ever having to worry about freezing over
CO2's pressure changes depending on temperature

Cold=Lower

Hot =Higher

HPA is constant in any condition

HPA tanks are more expensive than CO2 tanks
