I got a Tippmann 98 Custom ACT from a friend who doesn't play anymore, it has a Tippmann stock on the back (it's not collapsible, no velocity regulator, or anything like that). When I got it, there was a spring sticking out near the bolt. The gun dry fires just fine, but the stock isn't solidly in place. Was this spring just keeping the stock in one spot, or is it going to effect how the gun fires? Any help would be great.
