Once in some distant past thread you mentioned these to be your favored "cheap' pen:

Thank you sir.

Those are pretty nice.

My 'cheap' pen of choice is the Uni .7mm Jetstream.  I'm pretty sure its the one that we all got free like a year or two ago off some promotion one of us posted.  I've used them ever since when available.

I still use Jetstream pens. After the free sample we got- they're really the only pens I actually buy.

Hooray!

I've got a stack of every color of them in a cup on my coffee table right now. I use different colors for different things. All thesis editing work is done in dark green.

I love the way they feel on paper, and they're smoother than the cheaper versions sold by other companies.

The 1mm version is great too although a bit cumbersome for notes.

Also my favorite pen. I carry the minis at work usually.

Forgetting that one was in my pocket while doing laundry has cost me more than one pair of pants.

I think they are ok. I have come to love Gel Pens. However I sign a lot of duplicate copies, and often with gel pens I find myself not pressing hard enough to go past the top layer, let alone the other 2.

05 would be too small for me
07 is perfect
10 also nice, but too thick when you have to press hard.

I didn't know these came in different sizes.  Maybe I have always used the big one, because I always found that while they are smooth, they are to thick for my small writing.

I love the 1mm ones, the really big ones, but they are hard to find, especially in anything other than black. They also are awesome to doodle with.

The Uniball 207 is superior in every way.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

They do write very well, Mbro, but the pen itself is kind of wide and more torpedo-shaped. It hurts my hand after too long.

http://www.muji.eu/pages/online.asp?V=1&Sec=13&Sub=54&PID=1000I bought this pen from Muji when travelling, just because I wanted something from there, but it turned out to be one of the best pens I've ever had. It writes well and it's perfect for notes because I can switch back and forth between pen and pencil for notes/ drawings.

That's all I use. Even bought some red ones for teaching just because I hear it crushes kids self-esteem.

I remember seeing that post, as they have now become my #1 used pen as well.

One of my professors read a study about that, and bought like a 10 dollar pen in the brightest red he could find.  It works.

I'm wondering if instead of smiley face i drew horrified faces that cried bloody tears for the worst grad people would say anything? Anyways, I think it's great to use a more bold color for corrections and comments. Any long-term assignments get non-penalized rough drafts (provided they actually give me the whole assignment) so they can make corrections. It seems kids feel free to use any color they feel like but never choose red unless hey steal a pen from me

I used to use those, but now I rock these. Once I discovered them I never went back.
