I have a 98C Pro with the A.C.T. Anywho, my problem is that my R/T is not working the way it should. I did lose my spring, thinking that may have been the problem. But I just got my new spring in today. Which I put in thinking it would fix my problem but no good.
The problem the R/T is having is that when I turn the valve all the way to start tuning it. It doesn't become super hard like it should, which it is a more semi hard that I can push the trigger half way. Or sometimes it just goes in into a full auto for a few secs, which then, after it is done, normally goes hard like it should. But when I try to turn it, it feels like there is not enough air pushig the trigger back and after it shot once it doesn't push my finger back and I gotta take my finger off the trigger.
Another problem is that sometimes when I pull the trigger, it will go into a full auto for a few secs without the need for me to keep holding back the trigger.

I did take the R/T off to check all of the o-rings to see if any were damage, but they were all fine. I even use some of my paintball oil and put some on the o-rings hoping that may help it as well. I use extreme Rage paintball oil for that. But no luck.
Also I do have the cyclone feeder on my 98C Pro as well, which it works great, I also use C02 which was filled today as well.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Zero,

I've got the 'Auto Fire' Problem.

Brand new tippmann 98 PS ACT RT
Zen 48Ci bottle 3000psi

I played one game and did not shoot more than 50 bals. at the start of the second game i did some test fireing and it went 'full auto' till my bottle was empty (started rateling as if the bottle was empty). I started the game with +-2500 psi in the bottle.
The rest of the day i had no problems and RT worked as it shood

Yesterdat i went test fireing in a garage and again 'full auto' till empty.

Any one got an idea?

(excuse me for my bad english. I'm dutch)

Couple of things to check:
  • Sear and rear bolt for damage/wear at contact points
  • Output pressure of tanks  (really need at least 800 psi for reliable operation with a stock 98 series marker)
