No mam. What they saw was an asshat with his pants down around his thighs showing the world his nast ass drawers. All he had to do was pull his f'ing pants up. Problem solved. But noooooo. He has to show that he is billy BA. Wonder if he pulled them up with his cellmates were checking it out...?

Years ago, I was in taco bell getting ready to order when the dude in front of me who was holding his pants with his right hand, and had just picked up his tray in his left hand was handed his cup by the cashier.

I watched as the wheels started turning... hmm. I'm already holding the tray...

I want the drink...

I don't want to make two trips...

So he let go with his right hand and reached out to grab the cup and his pants hit the floor.

I laughed hysterically as he shuffled across the floor to the drink machine where he realized that he could have put his tray down and put his drink cup ON the tray and kept his pants from falling to the floor.

It took me a good 2 minutes to stop laughing so I could order. The girl behind the counter laughed so hard she cried.

It was classic.

Prisons and jails are full of people with these clothing faux pas because they were unable to run from the police.

I always heard the origin of the baggy pant in hip hop culture came from the simply fact that poor urban kids typically were forced to wear their older siblings hand me downs.

That's the joy of owning stuff. You get to pick and choose who uses it. If you don't abide by the dress code you can find an alternate method of transportation.

True, but I thought it was funny cause it portrays what an actual black kid would do.

As far as I know, from what I've been told by LEO's, was that it started as a sign from weaker prisoners that they either had protection (boxers visible, facing frontwards) or needed it (boxers backwards, "payment ready"). BUT, I don't know if I believe that, as prisons have really cleaned up violence wise over the last 15 years or so and most fads don't cling on that hard, so who knows.

Which is exactly how your action of posting the inaccurate .gif portrays you.

Taking the action of a small group of people and generalizing it onto the entire race of black children.

Irony....

Snopes wrote about that in 2005, stating that it pretty much all connotations as to the symbology of baggy pants were false. It's been the rumor mill that it implied needing protection, or implied that one was desiring sexual relations, but all of those are false.

Best that anyone has been able to find is that it does indeed come from prison, but it was simply a combination of older prison clothes being one-size-fits-all and belts not being allowed in prison. The end result was sagging pants.

Well, just the impression got from them growing up in South Florida in an 80% black county. I didn't even know the meaning o the word and neither did they, but they said it A LOT.

I get equally offended by fat white chicks in hip hugger skinny jeans with their thongs haning out. I really have no desire to see someone elses underwear hanging out of their pants while walking down the street.

Why?  What is so offensive about a piece of fabric that nearly everyone wears?

There is a time and place for one to show their underwear to other people. In public places is not one of them. Not really in the mood to defend my position, so I'll insert the slippery slope response here. What's next? Wearing saggy drawers while wearing a thong? Yeah, that's what I want to see.

Thats rediculous. It is common place for people to have low hanging trousers these days. It's not offensive at all, stupid looking maybe but so are novelty hats and I love me a Novelty hat.

To me its like telling a woman to get off the plane because you can see her bra sticking out of her tank top.
And i was thinking that if it took them 10-15 minutes to get him off the plane then he was probably sitting in his seat. If you can see a mans arse when he is sitting down then you're looking too hard.

I'm not going to get into the baggy pants argument, but I am going to point out that this is my favorite sentence typed on the forum in a very long time.

"no shirt, no shoes, no service", why not post something similar that would be directed at the sagging pants nimrods on a sign at every ticket counter and check in window and at the gate?

Well, the reason why so many white people get offended over saggy pants is because there will always be that guy. There are people who wear saggy pants, then there are people who need to walk funny to keep their saggy pants from falling.

Big difference between baggy, loose fitting clothes and pants hanging down to your thighs with your entire butt hanging out.  Let's not be retards and pretend otherwise. I wear relatively baggy pants but I also wear a belt.

So what you're saying is six days after catching a bunch of crap for kicking someone off of the plane for showing his underwear someone else not wanting to catch the flack let a questionable dress code violation go to avoid additional conflict and that person in turn turned them in for letting him fly? Damned if they do, damned if they don't. Goes to show no one is happy. Now had the dude been a flaming mo, and they kicked him off all hell would have broken loose and now not only are they racist, but also homophobic. There really was no way to win on this one was there?

The old dude in his knickers flew 6 days before the other guy. So it does on the surface look like a blatant double standard.

What could have happened was some jobsworth trolley dolly told him to fix his trousers. The big guy then tells her to get stuffed. She uses every ounce of authority she has to get her way and as is normal in a situation like this the persons colleagues won't undermine them. Either that or it's just stupid.

my brother just got on a flight with his pals in tutu's with no problems. No one would even think it would be a problem. Sometimes you uptight yanks are cute others you're just miserable.

trolley dolly - the lady who serves drinks and snacks from a trolley on an aircraft. Traditionally lots of make up and reputed premiscuous behaviours gave rise to the attitude that they were daft. Other terms include 'tarts with carts' and 'flying mattresses'

jobsworth is really those people who will take their position rather seriously usually moreso than is necessary. Think stereotype dmv. The actual name comes from a phrase they use in justifying their twat like behaviour. 'it's more than my jobs worth' usually a low ranking person with some official capacity or percieved authority being deliberately difficult.

I thought they were pretty common phrases.

I think that sagging your jeans to a ridiculous level is just a blatant lack of class. I mean, I see my junk every day, but I don't want to see some other dudes' (INB4 homophobe).

And just to define sagging jeans-if I can see the top of your boxers, no big deal. If I see your butt cheeks in your boxers, big deal. My jeans sag, I like that fit. But my shirtline matches my jean line. You don't see my boxers.

Also, why is this a white on black issue? Most white people hate it because of the other white people that do it. It's 10x more obnoxious to see white trash vanilla ice penguin-walking around like a d bag because his size xxxl south pole's are riding his knees straight to the meth lab. It's hard to be hardcore when you can't obtain full walking speed because your ridiculously oversized clown shorts are impairing movement.

I think white guys wear it way more extreme and pronounced their black counterparts. In fact, both white and Mexican guys do it to the extreme, and find the need to wear the tall white socks along with their oversized clown pants. I rarely notice it with black guys.

My point is-it's not a race issue, it's a class / modesty issue. I'll never understand people not wanting to be defined by the image they portray. I listen to gangster rap, dress like a thug, disrespect authority BUT YOU CANT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER BRAH.

Again, there's a fine line between slightly baggy and sagged and OMG YOU'RE WEARING A FREAKING TENT YOU OVERSIZED TWEAKED OUT PENGUIN. /rant
