In light of the KSP thread, I got to wondering if there were any more complete, more serious launch simulators. I enjoy the lightheartedness of KSP, but sometimes failure isn't always the option, and was wondering if there were anything else decent out there. :) Just wondering. ------------- Evil Elvis: "Detrevni is definally like a hillbilly hippy from hell"

http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/ Orbiter is hands down the best space flight simulator easily available. You can launch everything from sputnik to futuristic spacecraft. There is an Apollo 11 add on that is extremely realistic, with total functionality (including a few hundred switches to make everything work). The physics is spot on in terms of space flight. The in atmosphere physics leaves some to be desired. ------------- |
