In just over 22 hours I will be competing in the http://toughmudder.com/events/wisconsin/devils-hea-course-map-2011/ - Wisconsin Tough Mudder . It's a 10 mile obstacle course mud run on the side of a ski hill. To train I've been running excessively, up to ten miles, and doing body normal body weight resistance training. Prepping for this race I've probably lost around 15 pounds and am finally back to the point where I'd say I'm in great shape again.

Wish me luck.

Also, which http://www.campuscustoms.com/tough_mudder/men.html - shirt should I get?

Be sure to check out obstacle 25.....

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

Footprint T is the way I'd go. And after #25, I say the curled up in a ball crying comment from earlier applies.

Good luck, Mbro.

The Tough Mudder raises a lot of money for a very good cause.

Turns out there are three in the Central Texas area that I'll be doing by year's end.

Anyone on the forum can feel free to tag along with me.

^^ I'm out of shape, but what's the details on the central Texas events. I had some friends do "The warrior dash" earlier this year.

One of the guys in my group has already consumed 2 protein shakes tonight and is planning on consuming 15000 calories worth of "gainers" for breakfast. He's quite scrawny.

the shock really isn't that bad...its like sticking a fork in a socket or licking a 9 volt...the one that i hated the most was the 2 rope bridge, i hit the water (which turned out to be 35-40 degrees, so have fun with that) and couldn't breathe because it was so cold.

I did it in 2:24, I passed a large amount of people in the two groups that started before mine (1 group every 20 min). I was in the top 30 for my group and I still got passed by 3 guys right before the finish that started 20 min after me.

I was well trained for it so it wasn't that bad, the obsticals weren't that tough and just slowed me down because of people that took their sweet time on them.

I ran through the shocks with my arms out because I thought it would be funny, it was. I got hit 6-8 times pretty good.

He could eat most of an MRE; that would cover it.

And he wouldn't have to worry about stopping to go . . .

. . . for the next several days.

Wasn't there a rumor that the little Chicklet in the MREs was actually a laxative or a stool softener?

Yes and a teeth cleaner (just a rumor), but the coffee was a sure fire bowel cleanser and paint/grease remover.
