My favorite lyric of any song. It simply relates to me so very much. So much so that I deemed it thread-worthy.

Family business--the great entrepreneur got his job because of his relatives? From http://tippmann.com/forum/wwf77a/forum_posts.asp?TID=187268&KW=printing&PID=2683231#2683231 - this thread:
FreeEnterprise wrote:
I am, my family owns a large commercial printing plant.
I also own a hand bindery services company, a fish tank maintenance
company, a graphics company, a vending company, and buy and sell stuff

Oh, and I have a private paintball field that I run for my friends,
and farm over 20 acres of hay which we share with our cattle farming
neighbor, and use on our horse farm, while selling the leftover. |
The bolded statement in this post from http://tippmann.com/forum/wwf77a/forum_posts.asp?TID=182588&KW=printing&PID=2612029#2612029 - this thread could have contributed to the confusion.

Actually, my customers love me, I deliver their projects ON TIME,
EVERY TIME. And I never charge them more than I quoted. And I get them

area, by far. When I make a promise, I always deliver.
The difference between my company and my competitors is many of
them have gone out of business during these tough times... I'm still
here, and will continue to be here, just with less employees until
things turn around.
We also won the Best of southern region award for the past three years in the PIANKO (Printing Industries of America). |

As far as your argument...
Exactly how am I as a business owner going to pay for the added
cost of cap and trade to my costs when I currently have a profit margin
of less than 3%...
I can't "increase" my costs to my customers, as they are already going over to china now to buy their large printing projects...

No, but stalking another forumer based on his real name let slip in a BMX conversation many months ago and using that to snoop into other things intended for other audiences is sort of scummy. Most people on forums use handles for a reason, and we don't necessarily intend for anyone to play Internet detective and snoop any aspect of our lives that they can ferret out. If you folks want to giddily PM each other and salivate over whatever 'dirt' you've dug up, that's one thing, but 'outing' another member is uncalled for.

Completely 100% agreed.
Except...
FE has never made any attempts to hide behind his handle. He throws out pics of his home and friends, right down to the details of how many live there, the layout of the house, and giving us tours of his possessions via pics. He's all but named his businesses several times, even giving us YouTube videos of his various hobbies with pretty good ideas of who's in them and where they take place.
I'm sure if I looked hard enough, I'd find at least part of his real name given here on the forum from his own mouth. FE spun that web, the forum just pieced it together. I'd say it's less cyber stalking and more "I clicked the links he provided, here let me post them on the forum".
The only hurtful thing anyone on here did was call him out on a lie, or really an exaggeration as 90% of what he said was still in some way true. In fact, all I get by reading his LinkedIn page is that he's a hard worker with a good work ethic and a pretty interesting background. His lie by omission is more interesting in terms of heated debates that he himself starts and refuses to let go than a strike against his own personal character.

That's bull and you know it. What he's chosen to reveal is what he's chosen to reveal. Careleness on his part doesn't justify dragging his actual businesses out for everyone to peruse. Any potential character or integrity issued by diggin up his crap doesn't excuse draggin external stuff onto this group to begin with.

I don't see it as letting slip or being careless on a public forum. This isn't real time chat, he didn't go WHOOPS and request his personal info be stricken from the record. The vast majority of info on that page is available on the forum from FE's own mouth.

I am going to have to agree with strato on this one, Bri.
Do I feel that anyone should post someone elses information (linkedin, phone numbers, etc)? No. Its wrong. Other than Yomillio posting phone numbers from Sandmans work webcam, cause he got a cool sig out of it.
However, one does need to have a bit of responsibility of he or she doesnt want everything out there. FE evidently does not care if we here know his personal information. One day while BS'ing on the forum I told him I would call him with which he replied, to a lesser extent, "go ahead". Some research later, and we laughed about it. Did I post the number on mother, or put it in PBC? Build it out of cobblestone in minecraft when I was on the server? No, but any individual here probably could. While I was responsible and made a joke out of it, any person could easily harass the crap out of the guy (which, btw, is wrong).
If you want to keep your information private, you have to make it a point not to post everything. I think it is even more dumb when people put their phone numbers on Facebook. My ex did that, and I told her to get rid of it. Then again, I think she is now the town bicycle, but that is another story.

He mad.
Strato covered it well. Most of the info from that profile (résumé) was posted previously in other threads by FE. Harmless fun, well except for that aneurysm Bri wasted blowing this out of proportion. Let's resume freaking out when something important gets posted, like a CC number or an address, instead of the first google result from a simple name search.
Sorry your thread got derailed so badly, DeTrevni, it was supposed to be a simple LOL and move on.
