take it apart again and re-assemble as per the instructions. Are you sure the pin on the tank is making contact in the ASA and releasing the gas?

sounds like you put something in wrong that preventing the hammer from hitting the valve pin. Make sure the guide rod is in the top of the hammer.

First thing, make sure you have CO2. When your tank is off the gun the pin on the top should be hard but not impossible to push with your finger. Basically if you press it with your finger it shouldn't depress (gas pushing back) but if you take the butt of a pen and try to press the pin down you should be able to get a burst of CO2 to come out. If you can depress the pin with your finger and no CO2 comes out then your tank is bone dry. Check that first. If you're still having problems then call Tippmann directly and they can help you with re-assembly or you can call and talk to one of our techs too.
But I agree with the above posts, it sounds like something is not assembled correctly.

I'm guessing the ball detent is in backward. 99.9% of the time, that's what happens.
