hello new to the forum here, but i have many projects in the works and plan on sticking around and getting involved in conversations as well as learning as much as i can about these markers. i'm currently working on four a5's and one 98 custom act. so i have a lot of work ahead of me, and a lot to discuss! i'm starting off with this, though. i haven't played paintball in years.. many years. i've had three a5's collecting dust with two remote lines. to begin my project i wanted to see what was working - what wasn't. i replaced the o-ring on my compressed air tank and hooked it up to both remote lines - getting the same result out of two different a5's. air leaks big time out of the escape hole located on the twist nozzle of the remote lines. are they shot? or is there some extra bit of maintenance to the remote lines i forgot about..? i don't know how to better explain this, but i also replaced the o-ring on the ASA adapter piece that goes into the tombstone adapter. on one of the guns the remote runs strait into the tombstone, and the other has a gas through mag which the remote plugs directly into. thanks a bunch for the help! |

| yes. there is a nozzle that you screw into the air tank to initiate air flow from the tank into the remote line. on the fact of that nozzle, there is a small hole manufactured (i'm guessing) as a pressure release. that is dumping air from both lines on both guns. |

If I am understanding where the leak is coming from, you may want to take the knob all the way off and inspect inside to see if there is an O-ring up inside the knob and the condition of this o-ring. | you know, i tried that. i can't get the knob off to save my life. i figure i'm going to break it if i do. i watched a video on rap4 about maintenance of remote lines and the guy said there is an o-ring hidden in there. on the video he used princess fingers to remove it.. when i try it on mine i'm fighting it to the death and it won't come off. both remotes are made by pure energy.. i need four working remotes minimum for my project, and salvaging two would cut my costs tremendously.. any suggestions as to remove that twist nozzle without breaking it or my wrist? |

Not sure. I have one that is Rap 4 and one that is an unknown origin remote and on both the knob just unscrews. I'll go check the unknown one, but pretty certain it's the same as the Rap4. On the PE remote there is a hole underneath the remote line that vents air when you have a bad http://www.tippmannparts.com/Bottle-Orings-10-Pack-p/293.htm&click=48383 - tank oring , If the oring is fine and the seat around the depressor is scratched you might need a new http://www.tippmannparts.com/Ninja-Universal-Fill-Adapter-Black-p/8109.htm&click=48383 - universal fill adapter .  If the leak is coming out of the top where the threads are you need a new http://www.tippmannparts.com/Remote-Kits-Pin-Depressor-Oring-p/gp6696.htm&click=48383 - pin depressor oring , to install that you would need to undo the set screw on the head of the adapter and thread the depressor out through the bottom of the gun. Hope that answers your question. *Edit* I was talking to another tech who said that some older models of fill adapter are unable to be broken down in which case you would need a new universal fill adapter (see above)
