my tippmann 98c im trying to repair because of a air leak i hear in the hose is this also leading to my gun firing every other shot? because this is really annoying it looks like teh bolt is no pulling back far enough for it to catch but i think its jest a hose problem any help?

please leave a list of parts i would need to replace or any techniques i could use.

Is it a 98C or a 98Platinum? Did you take the marker apart prior to the leak starting? Where in the air line is it leaking? If it is near the powertube, try screwing the air line in tighter for a 98C. A major leak would keep the marker from resetting properly after firing as there isnt enough pressure to push back the bolt.

98c and it started leaking before i took it apart it is leaking toward the power tube and i can't screw it because the paintball company i went to to get it fixed put silicone al around the end of the hose so i can't tighten it. i guess it is a major leak because i have to keep re cocking it after every real shot. thank you for helping btw

i first thought it hasn't been oiled/lubricated in a while so i decided to oil it and when that did not work i brought it to the paintball store down the street soo it has to be the air

Leak volume would tell us a lot. Is it a hiss or a gush?  We also need to pin point where it's leaking.  If it's leaking on the hose then you should be able to find the leak with some soapy water.  (Look for the bubbles.)  If it's leaking down the barrel then it's a valve leak and you'd need to replace the valve.  A faulty valve could cause additional recocking issues.
