too bad the coverage is terrible this race.  they must be using string and soup cans for their connection.  last races coverage was awsome

Yeah, I checked it out and the connection was horrible.

what sleds do you have?

I'm back to snowmaking this year since my degree isn't actually final until the end of the month (2 day before my first student loan bill is due) and can't wait until we have enough snow cover for the sleds to come out. The job becomes fun instead of barely tolerable.

making snow and sleds.  Either you work for a snowcross organization or you're talking about sleigh/sleds?

If you happen to be watching the telecast, which the quality has improved vastly don't forget to sign up for the Amsoil Jacket giveaway.  It's easy

That's probably a $400 Klim jacket

I work for a club-owned ski area. So I run snow guns at night hoping it will be bitterly cold so they crank out more white stuff and so that instead of getting soaked I get a wind-proof ice-coating. Most of our sleds are the touring type, so they like to tip over when they aren't on level ground (which is always). My equipment load-out is a huge propane torch, headlamp, mallet, pick, flathead screwdriver, wrench, and spare nozzles. Occasionally a climbing harness but I tend to just try not to die. I've you've never been in a snowcat sliding in circles down a double-diamond trail or taken a snowmobile off a big-air jump, you haven't lived.

Im honestly not sure, I got a steal on it a few years ago, so I figured why not. My SXR walks all over it, but it rides nice, has digital gauges, and can corner.

Last season for drag racing on the ice my only loss of the season was to an SRX.  It's Doc Fang prepped so it's basically like trying to race something John Force put together for a client.

First thing should be to see if it has triple pipes.  Both sleds.

What do you mean tripple pipes? as in off the manifold? or the manifold itself?

I know that stock the sxr in stock form has a manifold that goes from the 3 cylinders and reduces to a single pipe from there.  I'm guessing the venom does too.  I'd be hoping for an aftermarket exhaust system where there's 3 separate pipes for each cylinder.  The engine bay will look crammed full of pipes if it has triples.

It's probably a 40 h.p gain right there.

its all stock, so im guessing it dosnt have em yet. Im thinkin that OR find another motor and do a turbo setup (im a boost addict).

unless you're at altitude boost isn't very friendly to 2 strokes.  It's a ticking time bomb.  You're better off spraying it with juice.

It will probably rip hard enough if you can snag a used set of triples foe 200-250 then I can call Doc Fang and he can tell me the $100 worth of clutch parts you need

Jealous. I have always wanted to ride a sled.

Maybe some place rents 'em up north.....

I found a set of used Bender's that are listed for $300.00.  If they're still available he'll probably take 250-275.  Someone showed interest in them yesterday.  If it's something you're interested in I'd have to call Doc to see if the Bender's are even the right set.  He has a dyno so he's got the scientific means to determine which pipes actually work.

Yeah just keep me posted.  The guy I'd be getting advise from is a pro racer that is constantly in the hunt for World records so he's legitimate.  I know nothing about Yamahas really
