If his son is anything like him, it wont be long until another midget with old-man sunglasses is continuing the crazy.
Old, but it is an appropriate celebration of his passing.

it'd be funny if next week he showed up and North Korea claimed they found a way to bring people back to life or reanimate them.
Edit: I guess his doubles are going to have to find new work now

I've seen this everywhere and I can't for the life of me get this joke. I must be either retarded and don't see it, or it was in a movie.

Do you guys remember it was his son "Chim Dong Smoke"
that threatened severe military consequences if the US held military exercises with S. Korea. I think they started the exercises ahead of schedule lol.

Thought it was funny when one of the commentators on CNN said that the public displays of emotion we over the top and most likely staged as the mourners seemed pretty aware of the cameras.

The Worker's Party over there owns your soul from the cradle to the grave if you live anywhere other than Chongjin in North Hamgyong Province. It's about the only place in the DPRK where common people can get news from the outside world, even though the penalty for getting caught is a Chosin Gulag.

Or how over the top the locals can be when the threat of work camps/re-education camps and of course, execution, is put into play. I don't believe the locals want to spend a few years growing and picking poppy for the heroin trade that buys the elite new TV's and food.

From the interviews I've read with defectors from the DPRK, the average individual over there does not know that their lives are any harder or that they are any worse off than the rest of the world. Between the ideals of "Juche" (self reliance) and the virtual blockade that western embargoes have created, there is no incoming news, no incoming technology, and no desire by the leaders of the DPRK inform their citizens that they are leading anything but the most blessed of lives. This is an entire culture of people who have been indoctrinated from birth to believe that Kim Il-sung was nothing short of God incarnate. You aren't free to move about in your own province, let alone the country or internationally. You are told where you will live, what you will study, and what you will be when you grow up. You don't pay for food over there, it's rationed. You step out of line, your rations are cut. You get in trouble, not just you, but your whole family for THREE GENERATIONS is punished. Every apartment building and neighborhood has a cadre of secret police informants who are given extra food/privileges for ratting out people who do something as innocuous as cracking a joke about someone in the party. Seriously, the DPRK is fffffuuuuuuuuudddgggeeedd.

I've seen a few things on the bbc about DPRK and it is pretty insane, like them being told that BMW and Mercedes are both made by North Korean companies. Any kind of journalistic venture is forced into 100% propaganda by the officials who are with any foreign journo's 24 hrs a day. In reality these attempts to stop the journalists telling the real story actually demonstrated it pretty well.
You see these people crying in the streets. I would imagine they aren't that bothered this dick is dead. They're just not stupid enough to go against the regime by not showing how loyal a supporter they are of the dear leader and thereby his regime and appointees wjo are still around to crack skulls.

A North Korean coffin maker has been sent to the gulag for threatening not to complete work on Kim Jong-il's coffin.
A spokesman for the man appealed today saying that all he did was say "Right lad's I think we'll need to cut this one short" |
